Will glow fuel deteriorate fiberglass
I noticed that when I fuel my plane a bit of fuel drips from the carburetor and runs down the inside of the cowl and drips out the muffler cutout. No harm done, but I'm wondering if it will eventually deteriorate the fiberglass from the inside. Should I use some thinned epoxy to fuel proof the inside part of the cowlthat the fuel contacts or not bother?

RE: Will glow fuel deteriorate fiberglass
My glass fused pattern plane has been flying sense 1989 and so far the glow fuel hasn't bothered it. There are usually wood formers inside a glass fuse, it can rot that wood or loosen up the glue over time but not the glass itself. Well, so far it hasn't.
