Funny phrases at airflield
I fly at a big club, so inevitably you are almost never alone.
I have heard a couple of funny phrases and was wondering how many more can u add.
You paid your club fees, use the runway. (when somebody lands outside the runway)
The runway is long, you can use it all. ( when someone rolls outside of the runway)
Are you related to Bugs Bunny? ( when the plane hops on landing)
The walk of shame (when you have to walk to retrieve your plane instead of taxiing it back)

When I first moved to MN from NY, everyone at the new field flew very high and very far away. They only came near the field on takeoff and landing and didn't do much in the way of aerobatics. Then my dad and I flew, keeping it in close with lots of low passes over the runway followed by a split S and another low pass, etc.
After the second or third flight one of the guys said, "Geeze, do you guys in NY fly in a tent?"

many at our club will say, "love the smell of burnt fuel" when a glow plane fires up, so naturaly we say " smell those burnt electrons" when an eletric takes off

Once about 5 or 6 3-D Electric/ Gas/ Glow pilots start flying at my club, I heard the President yell, " You have to hog the Field?" Most of us that have scale tends to stay grounded until they are done. We get a little nervous, so we wait, and wait sometimes.
When I see a beginner with a Warbird, I always ask if he had brought the "Glad-n-broom."
Once I saw a guy fly inverted close to the deck with his Extra 300 and I heard someone yell "Pull up!" I'm sure Tom wanted to do this if he found who yelled it:
Other than that, most of the phrases I hear are the old traditional fly by the seat of your pants pilot talk.

I like how one of our guys when he arrives at the field and a bunch of us are there already, will say "Good morning men, you too Joe" (or Bob, etc whomever he wants to needle.)
Same guy loves to watch the choppers fly and say "They're beating the air to death!"

One of our friends, let's call him Pliny, flew "casually". We remarked from time to time on the jerky aerobatics and heavy-thumbed in-flight adjustments. He was assigned to an overseas location one winter, and spent a lot of time on the simulator in his hotel room, practicing aerobatics.
His first flight, upon his return, was all smooth maneuvers and straight & level flight, with crisp turns and light landings. We turned to him and said
"Who are you? And what have you done with our friend Pliny?"

All,
Fly at a big club also.
1. After someones does the up, down, up, down routine during landing or wing tip dance down the runway we always hear.
Yee Haw !! let the rodeo begin.
2. After a hairy landing, close call, spectacular anything, the rehash story includes "I was holding FULL EVERYTHANG !!"
