Default Receiver/Servo Mix

I have an old plane in excellent condition I've managed to hang on through the years. I has a total of five Futaba servos bought around 1987. I now have a new Spektrum radio and receiver. Will the new receiver work with the old servos?

This is the G plug that will have to be replaced or adapter acquired.

My servo leads don't have the "G" plug shown in the pic. They have flat female fittings with three evenly spaced square recepticles. The approximatly 1/4" wide plug has a tang on one side. I think I remember I was told some time past that to use these servos with a JR receiver (same as Spektrum?) all I have to do is shave the tang off with an Exacto knife.

That is good news and the plugs you have are the current Futaba "J" Plug. Sometimes when you remove the flange to fit others in some brands of extension it will be very tight and perhaps neccessary to also shave a small champher edge on the solid back side of the male plug.

Oh by the way I love your handle but they took the good stuff out of it years ago
