Chicago Model Shops
Hi
I am coming across from the UK and will be in Chicago next week with work - can anyone recommend any good, well stock model (hobby) shops worth going and having a look around?

My condolences on the Chicago stop. Most people are trying to escape Chicago. About the best hobby shop left in the area is Al's in Elmhurst. They are somewhat of an institution around here, they've been in business for over 60 years. It's about 30 minutes west of downtown Chicago. Unless you're a frequent visitor to the US, don't make the mistake of thinking the vast majority of the US looks like Chicago. It doesn't.
