RE: Alcohol question
Denatured and rubbing alcohol are different things...

Rubbing alcohol will be available at the drug store or the grocery store..
denatured is usually only at the hardware stores.

RE: Alcohol question
I use a lot of alcohol, even sometimes for cleaning. Kidding aside, alcohol isn't very good for cleaning off burnt on Castor oil. I do use it to clean the inside of the engine after a rebuild before assembling. Just make sure to oil up the bearings real good after an alcohol flush.

Some of the alcohol's have alot of water in them, so once you clean the engine, make sure you give it a good oiling. Good Luck, Dave
