portable pilot stations
i need some suggestions for building portable pilot stations on our flying field. they will have to be removable for winter season. easy to move for
cutting the runway during summer season. It should be big enough for a pilot and a observer for fun fly's. we now have a plastic fence
being held up with 4x4's at the runway. cement pads in back of this fence that we use for pilot stations. we have another fence behind
the pilot stations that is our pit area.
any plans, pictures will help.
Thank you

"A couple of plastic fence sections from Lowes staked into the ground."
Just remember to lift your plane "high" over the fence when you go through. When we first put ours in, the first time I went through, I didn't, and poked a hole in the wing:-(((((

You could use PVC pipe placed in the ground. Two Aluminum poles with PVC lattice connecting the two poles. Just lift it in and out sunk pipes. The laticd has a litte give in case someone hits it.

RE: portable pilot stations
We also use the chain link gate sections. We have two sections joined together, in a"V" shape. No reason you couldn't add more, to make the stations as large as you wanted. They can also be laid down at the end of the day.
