Default What is this?

Hello all, I picked this up this weekend at a swap meet this weekend, Ive seen them but never asked about them. I got a great deal on it. It never acured to me to ask the guy I bought it from what it is. How are they to fly? I hope to fly it next weekend.

A version of this http://www.rcmplans.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=1570 or you can search Pizza Box here on RCU. They dont glide at all pretty much flys on the engine. A bunch of fun.

Yep! It's a Round Tuit.

We built a bunch of them back in '90. A little different. ours had a balsa rudder, and bigger ailerons. It will fly real slow and drag the ailerons on the ground, spin quick, lope quick hover, and fly normal.kinda like 3D these days. But they don't like toglide, without power. (no airfoil!)

A fun plane to fly! I have been thinking of building another one lately, just to be different

I have a disc that is almost the same as the tuit. As said above, they do all kinds of stuff except glide. If set up right you can " flat pan " them right to the ground almost like a helo.

If I remember right on mine the CG was 11 3/4 " back from the firewall. Mine had a 46 on it but there isn't that much difference in wt.
ENJOY !!! RED
