Brushless motor alternator?
Is it possible to use a brushless motor that would be turned by a 30cc gasser to be used to power/charge the onboard rx and ignition battery? I only have a basic understanding of electricity so simple explanations would great

RE: Brushless motor alternator?
Short answer, no.
Longer answer, you can prove it. Obtain an AC/DC voltmeter and a drill or Dremel with a chuck that will drive your electric motor shaft. Drive the motor with your drill, and measure voltage across any of the motor leads. You will find no voltage.
Good luck,

RE: Brushless motor alternator?
From my internet research it appears that you can get voltage by spinning a brushless motor but its in the form of 3 phase AC (I think?) and you need something called a 3 phase diode bridge rectifier to turn the AC into DC so that it can be used to charge the batteries.
