Default What 3 blade prop for ZDZ 80

I have a ZDZ 80 and would like to know what size 3 bladed prop would go on it.Thanks for your help.

maybe you should go into the gas engine forum and ask you would get some quick answers. Don't forget to mention the plane and weight.

General rule of thumb on going from a two blade to a 3 is down one inch in length and up one inch in pitch. Always seems to work correctly. Don't know why the gas guys didn't reply??

???....no disrespect but I think you are talking about keeping the same approx load on the engine when using the same number of BLADES. Going from a 2 blade 28x10 would have approx the same load as a 2 blade 26x12.....etc.

When adding a blade I think you need to drop the dia and pitch a bit further. I run mainly 100-111 cc twins. If I change from a 28x10 2 blade I usually wind up using a 25x10 or so 3 blade to get the approx same load/performance.
