    motor runs like crap

    motor runs great with plane level........bring nose up..motor craps out,,,,,,,,,tank is center of carb,,,,,,,,,,no air bulbs,,,,,,,,,,new fuel,,,,,,,,,,,new glow plug..........3 prayers to the motor god..............what now

    Are you sure your clunk is in the back of your tank? sometimes it can get stuck up front. other than that it sounds like a tunning issue

    yeas the clunk is in the back and it will fall if held upside down,,,,,,,,,as for tunning where or what?..........as i said runs great level

    How far back is the tank? Are you using muffler pressure? Is this a Pitts muffler? Small, medium or large fuel tubing? If you drop the nose, does it go rich?

    Sounds like it is too lean.

    Have you tried to richen it up a bit and see what happens?

    What size fuel tubing and are you using muffler pressure? Should be using medium size tubing and pretty direct connections. If you are using a three line set, be sure to plug the overflow/vent line or muffler pressure will do no good.

    Define what "runs great" means. Does that mean you are at peak RPM at a level attitude? If so, you are too lean to allow for the drop in fuel pressure in a vertical line or the unloading that happens in flight. That's of course assuming that you don't have a tank issue as others have mentioned.
