Default Li-ion battery charger

Hello all, so i purchased a large heli the other day and it has a double pack 7.4 2200 mAh battery pack in it. Im not looking to fly with it but I do want to know how to properly charge it and test it, can anyone help me out here? There are two packs bundled together so im guessing total volts would be 14.8?

Answered the voltage question in your other thread.

You need a charger that has programming for LiIon. There's a million of them, I use a Hyperion Duo 610i

Andy, the second response knows what he's talking about...as far as your battery....don't assume anything. Battery cells wired in parallel will have the same Volts but the available current will additive. While cells wired in series will have twice the voltage but the available current will stay the same. Twice the voltage is not good. You'll let the magic smoke out at twice the voltage and it won't ever work again. once the smoke gets out...you can't pour in more smoke....

He had another thread in the heli section, I told him about the parallel versus series wiring and even mentioned letting the smoke out

Scott, if we're still going to get together Saturday I'll bring my Triton EQ. It can charge those batteries, and if you want, I can take them and do a cycle test.

Always better to ask first, especially with batteries as there's so many configurations out there.
