Which fuel pump.......Kavan or Slimline?
Hi......
I am looking for a high quality, reliable electric fuel pump for my new field box. I've narrowed the selection down to the Kavan($30) and the Slimline Boxxer($40). Which do ya'll think is the best value?
Thanks

I have two slimline pumps and have been using them for three years. I have had no trouble with either of them. The flow rate is a little slower than some of the other pumps but other than that, I have been very satisfied.
I have not had any experience with the Kavan unit.

I've one of the Slimline pumps.
(upper-left, bening the neck of the fuel bottle.)
Its noisy, but that has more to do with my mounting method - it uses the entire back of my fieldbox as a sounding board. Not really a big deal, as its inaudible if someone's tuning an engine nearby.
It is slow, though. Takes nearly a minute to fill the 12oz. tank in my UCD. I swear my old hand-cranked pumps were faster.

That was the opposite problem I had with the Kavan. It pumped so fast I thought I would rupture the fuel tank. If I didn't watch the fill nozzel it would blow off and start flopping aroung like a loose fire hose!!
