Default Smoke Muffler Tubing

I cannot seem to keep the Neoprene tubing from constantly slipping off the nipples of my Slimline Smoke mufflers.
The mufflers are installed on a DA150.
The Neoprene tubing is the correct size 3/16" OD for the inlet nipples on the mufflers; and the Neoprene is brand new.

I have tried tie-wraps; thin bailing wire; and now the DuBro fuel line clamps.
After two flights, the Neoprene tubing has gotten so hot and pliable, it is slipping off the nipples.
NOTHING seems hold it in place.

My previous smoke set-up was on 3W cannisters with smoke nipples that were very long, thus allowing a long portion of the Neoprene to be slid over the inlet nipples. They were also positioned in an area of the cans that was likely not quite as hot as the location on the Slimline mufflers.

The Slimline inlet nipples, while barbed, are VERY short so that is very little overlap of the tubing.
The only thing that has semi-worked, was the thin copper bailing wire, but this must be wound so tight, that after 3 flights, the heat has made the copper wire cut through the tubing.. and off it comes.

I have NOT yet even tried pumping smoke oil because the tubing will come off that much easier and smoke oil will go everywhere!!

Hmm...if nothing else works, how about changing the nipples, as a last resort? A PITA, for sure, though.

Been there, done that.
Found the equivalant thread (8-32) DuBro nipples that were just a tad longer, but with a longer smooth portion / barbs more at the tip.
I figured this would give more flat clamping area.
NO JOY.
On Flight #2 yesterday, one tube was off and the other was about to fall off.

I spoke with the owner of SLIMLINE today and he advised me to use NITRILE tubing.
Sullivan makes this in various sizes so I ordered some today.
Will report on whether it WORKS!![X(]
