Default Devcon 5min epoxy problem

Hi,

Does anyone know how to dissolve the Devcon 5min epoxy glue? I used it to glue the pivot pants on the aileron and elevator surfaces of my SDS MXS-R but left to much distance between the wing and aileron / stab and elevator. I would like to fix it, but still be able to use the existing pant holes. Any help would be appreciated.

Dissolve... Not a chance, just cut them down the middle and place new ones beside the old ones.

I have to agree, it would be extremely difficult to do. As mentioned, cut them loose and start over again. Good Luck, Dave

Dissolve, no way. But you can heat epoxy with a heat gun and try to peel the softened epoxy from the area.

I use the heat gun whenever I make a mistake, {OK, Once} and then you are able to re-use the part too. If you get a lot of back up heat blast back into the heat gun it will also burn it out. How would I ever know that??
