Slow stick and brushless
Hi all, I'm just getting back into flying after abut 8 years, and I have forgotten so much! Anyway I have a GWS slowstick with servos and all components, including a brushless motor. The ESC is brushless, as I used this very setup on my old, but long gone original slow stick. What's weird is that the motor "lags" and I have to move the transmitter's throttle up & down several times before the prop will start spinning. I have a hi tek optic 6 and it works perfect, so I'm not sure why the motor is hesitating. It's properly seated in the motor mount and all connections are good. I thought maybe the motor's spindle gears were pressing to hard on the corresponding gear on the mount, but that doesn't seem to be the reason.
And on another not, I have an old "Cool charger" for 2-3 cell lipos, but the instructions that were on it have worn off. The pic of the charger is below. There are two little plastic things you stick each one into one of the 8 slots. I seem to remember the slots are used to choose the mAh and how many cells. Can anyone tell me how to use it to charge an 1,100 2 cell lipo? I don't remember whether the slots are 1-8 counted from the bottom up, or the top down, so if anyone knws I'd really appreciate it.
