rc glow engine problems
I have been testing my OS engine on my Great Planes combat P-51 in the garage over the past few days before I take it to the field for its maiden. I have noticed the engine is loosening up from the mount each time I run it. The nuts are getting loose from the engines vibrations, so I am wondering if its a good idea to add a few drops of CA glue to them?

I agree with Steve Percifield, the prop and/or the spinner must be badly out of balance. First do the needed balancing, then use a drop or two of blue Loctite on the mounting nuts and bolts. Don't use CA, use Loctite. Don't expect the Loctite to work with out balancing the the prop. Plus the uncorrected vibration will damage the airframe. A new prop right out of the package is no more balanced than a new tire for your car without balancing it.

You can use ny lock nuts more than once but you have to check them. If you can screw them down by hand where you see threads out of the nut they're no good. I suspect that you need to balance as said above and new lock nuts

If the nuts are going on tight, Loctite isn't likely to do anything else to help. Are you sure the threads on your bolts are good? I have seen stripped ones once on a used plane I bought.

Hi!
Lock nuts can be used as many times as you like as long as you tighten them enough, that's not the problem.
Problem is unbalanced prop and plastic spinner and badly tighted bolts!
Always use Alen screws and use a good quality wrench like the Ungarian "Hudy speciall" allen wrenches. Also check that both the plastic mounting arms perpendicular . Many times you have to file each arm to get them level with each other.
Also get rid of that high speed needle extender...it causes vibrations! The longer the arm the more vibrations.
