Default ARF power switch hatch

I have a Decathlon i am assembling and want to keep the cowl mounts hidden as well as the Charge port/ power switch. In the attached picture right above the top servo on the side of the fuse you can see a rectangle cut out in the side of the fuse where it is just Red ultracote. I want to add a hatch there that i have made out of balsa that it is fiberglassed. The door fits perfect but before i epoxy it in with hinges my question is once i cut the ultracote on the outside of the fuse does anyone think after it is cut that i will have a problem with the ultracote peeling from the hatch or on the fuse aft of the hatch after flying for a while?

Well appears to be a glow plane since I see a fuel tank and a throttle servo/pushrod So yes I see that cut without any overlap would soon begin to appear nasty. This of course will depend on the exhaust flow pattern around the fuselage and where you have the exhaust outlet. Its impossible to know where that flow pattern is going to be until you fly it.

If you really want to do that then you will need to monocoat/ultracoat the edges to inside the fuse with overlap. Makes a whole bunch more sense to just use a Dubro switch/charge surface mount like most of us use.
