Default Model Flying in France

My son is in Southern France for a couple of years, is interested
in doing some RC flying. Does anyone know where to turn for
some info regarding flying there? License required, local
clubs, good hobby shop...
Any information will be appreciated.

Hi. Go to http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2169230 The fellow named SPADERMAN is from France. He does not speak/understand much English, so keep your question simple. He can probably help you.

Hi,
He can also take a look on the "Federation Française d'Aéromodélisme" website: http://www.ffam.asso.fr/
It's the french "AMA".
He can find all the clubs in his area from this page: http://www.ffam.asso.fr/trouver-un-club
(Marseille is #13).
I'm french but never flew in France. I had lived abroad for the last seven years and just came back to my country a week ago. I learnt to fly in Canada.

Thanks a lot P-Y. That will be a lot of help and he
should be able to get with someone that can steer him
in the correct direction.

This link http://www.pagesjaunes.fr/annuaire/m...eduits-loisirs should give you the major model shops in Marseille.

They should be in touch with the locals and the flying fields.

The people I know are further East around Grasse and Briancon.
