Must have been chosen last in kick ball when a kid. The original purpose was to find folks who shared a common interest in a particular aircraft. Must admit it has gotten a little out of hand though.

Oh please Smitty, pretty please, let me be number two, I already have the tank so I'm sure I would be a good number two man. I could help you mod the thread and we could kick anyone off that says anything bad about the DuBro 14 ounce square tanks and tell them how disappointed in them we are!! What fun it could be!!!!

How 'bout starting a 'brotherhood' against brotherhoods! You can be your own dictator, penalty enforcer and pain manager all rolled into one! I'm just yankin' your chain so say sump'n bad about me and we'll be even. I can take it!

well i see you are a member of the ama brotherhood AMA # 126183,i do not see whats wrong with belonging to a brotherhood,it just means they share a common bond with a paticular model or company,

I am not against the brother hood thing. to me a brother hood is one where you own or operate a rare plane or engine. being part of a OS 46 brother hood where over 45,000 were sold isnt rare.
To me its just out of control. I just think its stupid lol to start a new brotherhood just because there isnt one already.
oh I will be starting a Walmart foam glider with a reglued wing brother hood soon.
its a hobby and we can do how we like with it.

The Dubro 14oz. Square Tank Brotherhood is a secret organization. In fact, the first rule of The Dubro 14oz. Square Tank Brotherhood is "you do not talk about The Dubro 14oz. Square Tanks Brotherhood". The second rule of The Dubro 14oz. Square Tank Brotherhood is "you DO NOT talk about The Dubro 14oz. Square Tanks Brotherhood". We have members in nearly every club throughout the US. The brotherhood does not take kindly to those who besmirch the Dubro 14oz. Square Tank. Next time you crash ask yourself, after all these years and advances in technology radios could that have been a "glitch" or is there a brother in your club? BWAHAHAHAAHA!

My only problem with the different brotherhood threads is MORE PICS AND STORIES PLEASE ! I really enjoy when people have some great info to share on their planes. I have seen so many unique Sig Seniors in our club that a brotherhood was needed !
I really enjoy when people share the adventures of the hobby, as many exist at my field, there have got to be millions of good ones out there.

The attempt that Scale is taking about was two years ago and was a flight from Laughlin Nev. (the Avi Casino) to the London Bridge Lake Havasu Az during the annual float fly. It was probably the most euphoric RC flight I ever made and done via a small jet boat which made the trip possible as we only had inchs of water on the Colorado in spots. Anyway the trip ended up 47 miles of a 50 mile trip and was cut short three miles short and in sight of the destination.
The next month, December I was forced to have major surgery which I was fortunate to come through OK and thanks to a lot of good friends did not even miss too much flying. It was during this scary period I decided rather than spend the funds and time I have left giving that flight another go I wanted to develop another cross country float plan and that turned out to be my Catalina Cadet which is a much modified Cadet with extended wings and structural adaptions to carry a gallon of fuel internally. The first engine was a .95AX and proved to be more power than needed so the next engine was an OS .65AX which worked well and has flown off from the water with a full load of fuel and with this engine have achieved a six hour static flight on wheels at the home field. Whew I thing just about everyone in the club had time on the sticks that day to give me some relief .
The next engine I just got through hwith on the break in on a stand will be the lovely little OS .15 cc spark ignition and in the interest of even better fuel economy.
That brings us to now and almost two years to the day I have to go back to surgery and they are gonna remove even more so by golly if I make it this time maybe, and just maybe if I find the right boat perhaps the Catalina flight will happen. That is the dream and of course has been done before (1974) but that's my dream
