Does anyone know if Sierra Giant is still open for business?

Well, it's been over 5 weeks since I was last able to get a hold of Darrell and still no retracts. I left messages and emails and no response. When I spoke with him he mentioned being sick but my repaired retracts were ready to ship. ***!

That's good to know and very interesting Greg. I just tried to call again and went to voicemail. I feel I've been more than patient and fear he may lose my retract units. Early this year I sent him 60 size, 100 degree rotating retract units for repair. It was much easier to get a hold of Darrell back then. I wanted to order the parts but he convinced me to send in what I have since they only charge for parts replacement and would be able to give it a complete checkout. I needed new rotating pins, trunnions drilled out to accept the new pins, new struts and torque links. Back in Feb when I last spoke to him he said they were ready to ship. Don't know what takes 5+ weeks to ship out something that's supposedly ready to go. Sierra may produce great products but I'm very disappointed with their service.

Not trying to defend Darryl, But the retracts are not his main money maker.

I usually try and call first thing in the morning around 9:00 am Eastern time or at 12:00 lunch time and it usually works out that i catch him at these times.

welcome to the world of Sierra. Thats why me and few others have quit dealing with them. Ive even gone so far as designing my own retracts and outsourcing the machine work.

Wow. This doesn't sound encouraging. I wish I stuck with my original idea of just ordering the parts. I could have done this myself and been up and running long ago. My fear now is losing the retracts I sent to him.
