Good luck finding out what 120 you have. The FZ is the only one I can spot right away. Example is I have the G-NC and F plus an FZ. I can't tell the difference except by the low speed needle on the FZ.
I do have an extra regulator so you can see the gasket and diaphragm. The diaphragm is round and fits under the gasket. At $3.50 each shipping is more then the parts. I also have extra rocker arm cover gaskets on hand plus over the years I have bought the complete gasket sets. For just a one engine owner just a couple diaphragm/gasket sets and a cover gasket should do it.

Also if looking to replace this engine the YS 115WS make more power than the 120 and saves some weight.

There lies the problem, GIVE??? What was a very high dollar engine, {{Still are when new }} people aren't willing to pay for these days. I saw way too many NIB YS and OS engines for next to nothing at our last swap meet. I haven't seen anyone offering to give me a nice little gasser. Haven't even been offered a trade. Go figure?? I'm willing to give some of my engines away but first I want the new owner to give me some money, American money!. I only have two on the bench waiting to be made to fly again. One needs bearings and one needs a new cylinder. I had a crash on the first flight after rebuilding one of my 110s and the cylinder broke where the header screws in. I don't have any 110 parts on hand so was looking for a parts engine when I found the .91.

They are great motors, .I have had the same 120 on my Kingfisher for 15 years, purrs like a kitten and roars like a lion.
but if you don't know how to tune them they can be a pain.,,, Your best bet if you want it done right is to send it to Richard Verano

Did you not read the chatter between PW and myself. For the most part they are now giveaway engines. Do you even know the model you have?? PW will take it off your hands, I would pay shipping costs. Not a lot of improvement but it's something. I just sent a buddy an engine today, he is paying shipping, that was 9 bucks. I still need a 110 parts engine.
If you post in the YS forum there may be someone there that would want a nice 120. As scale said, great engines, all of mine still run very well but I was taught how to tune and rebuild them.
I had my own instructor though, Richard wouldn't come to where I was living to teach me how to twist the needles.

You can also look at photo number one where I have the pointer sitting on the casting block showing you the front. I also used to mark the case and housing with a line to match up to, it works but knowing the front from the back is better. I can tell my early engines from my newer ones when I see the mark. At some point knowing the front from the back finally sunk into my head.
I was just out in the shop so took a couple of photos of two different 110s with the guide markings I ground into the case to make sure I had the diaphragm cover on correctly. Another little FYI. Years ago if you sent in your engine to YS servide they had the jig set up and ported the piston for you for free. It was just 4 or 5 little holes drilled in the piston top and the purpose was to put pressure behind the ring for a better seal. It worked so well that the YS factory started doing it on new engines. The 4 ports on the 110 are factory, the other piston is an old .91 without porting. I tossed in a page with an address for you to pull up too.

I have tons of hard copy items on the YS engines but I no longer have a scanner to put them into files. That address was active a month ago so?? Just doing a search using YS engines as a key word brings up a bunch of stuff. Cam timing on a YS 1.10

The prices of a replacement engine after selling a $400.00 engine for $150.00. Hope the .46 will fly the plane or you just took it in the shorts just because those two screws were beyond you.
Someone from the UK??? The two friends I have in the UK and the two in OZ have a worse time with the price of glow fuel then we do and have gone gas. YS was also sold in the UK and a used one isn't worth any more there then here. $150.00 for the engine and another $50.00 for shipping for an obsolete engine??
Hope this person comes here to my town for a vacation, it's how the town was built.

The reality is if he's not comfortable with the engine and will not use it then selling it for what makes him happy is all he can ask isn't it. No reason to give him any grief. After all we were teasing him a bit that if he didn't want it we would take it off his hands for free. Some never caught on to the YS engines no big deal lots of others out there to work with. As for selling something for less than we paid for it originally haven't we all made the odd mistake.

Well selling the motor did make me happy. I didn't sell it for less than I paid I got the motor in a segul lazer that in paid $100 for. So I got it for free I think..
And I used the money to go pick up a saito 1.20 i bought frpm a guy on the rcuniverse classifieds. So yes I am very happy i got a great motor i like for 120.00 thanks stan. Again thanks for everyone's help. I wasn't trying to be a jerr when I posted what I sold the motor for in was just stating that I wasn't go treated like some idiot who would just give away a motor he did wanna mess with.

When something is no longer manufactured because of upgrades and changes then it is obsolete. I still use two of the 1.10 and they are now replaced with the 1.15 so obsolete. Just picked up a .91FZ I'm rebuilding, also obsolete. Obsolete does not me unusable or I would be grounded, almost.
The 1.15 puts out more power then the 1.10 but I would never spend the money on a new glow engine when they are so cheap to buy and rebuild. I may love the YS engines but there are now too many nice gas engines on the market, cheaper to buy and operate then a good YS glow engine if your looking to buy new.
