I've seen zinc chromate paint, in an aerosol, at Ace Hardware. If it were me, I'd use it.

Don't think you can obtain the Zinc Cromate of old. Zinc is a heavy metal and the Govt. has it's nose in such.........Went thru that with heavy eqpt. I was repainting. Found a guy with about 25 gallons left over from something and I used it as primer on several sandblasted D-5's. Made a hell of a base that held up well.
Not sure of your application so research what is now called Zinc Cromate.........

To my original post I should add that I am looking for a spray paint to fuel proof engine areas and wheel wells for scale rc planes.It does not need to be the real zinc paint, just a look a like.Has anyone used a Krylon or other type spray paint?
