DLE 20 RA spark plug
Finally got to run up my new DLE 20 for the first time today & immediately hit a snag. The plug cap just falls off & will not snap onto the plug correctly
The kit comes with a spring but for the life of me I cannot see how it works. The chaps at the flying field say that they just chuck theirs away. If it cannot be used then why do DLE still supply it. Or have the manufacturers not been told yet.
Can anyone tell me how to fix the plug cap please. So far I have it held on with a piece of wire around the plug & cap
Any help gratefully appreciated

Push it on hard wearing a glove or use a rag or use a small piece of wood so you can push very very hard. The plug takes more force to seat then people think.
It is very common for guys to think it is falling off when it was never actually fully seated.
When the plug cap is fully seated the hex portion of the spark plug will be completely covered.
As far as the spring goes, it is for you to decide if you need it (I don't use them). They are from a time when grounding issues were common. These caps are so tight that grounding issues are very rare.
