What does PM sent mean?

Private message. You can send someone a message and only that person can see it. Right click on the user name of the person you want to send a message to, and a drop down menu will appear. One of the choices is "Send a private message to (user name here.)" Click on it and you can send that user a message noone else will be able to read.
(Edit: My bad! LEFT click the username, not right click it. Oh, I am so embarrassed. )

Let me define the term "dumb question" for you as I only know of two definitions that relate to using the forums:
1) Any question that is asked by one person repeatedly in multiple forums in an attempt to get the desired answer in one of them. This is also referred to as spamming and is illegal in most forums
2) Any question that you ask, get an answer and ignore said answer and do something else anyway

By both of those definitions, you DID NOT ask a dumb question

To someone that isn't a heavy user of the forum, it's not obvious. It kind of goes the same for those that are not total computer gurus, the term "IM" wouldn't be something easily recognized either, though to those that are constantly on the keyboard, it's obviously short for "instant messaging". I saw your question as a legit one as well as the answers you received. I see it as learning something new and that's always a good thing
