Default Problem with Retract Servo

Hello guys,

I've bought a retract servo Dualsky AS700 to mount it in Kyosho P-40 ARF but I have a problem because when I turn the switch on TX the servo is rotating only like 90 degrees and after that I hear some movement in it but the servo arm is not mooving.. dont know whats wrong with it. Why its not rotating fully 180 degrees?
Thanks for any help and sorry for my not really good grama. Im from Poland and still learning

Sounds a lot like a stripped output gear to me

So.. I have spoken to Dualsky and it seems that this servo isnt a true retract. It wont rotate like other retract servos so I need to exchange it..

A true retract servo will travel almost a full 180 degrees. You need to use a retract servo as a regular one will draw power in an idle mode. A retract servo shuts off at the end of each cycle so no power draw in an idle state. They also have a better gearing system than regular servos. Good Luck, Dave
