mashp39,
I have not build the King Kobra yet, but i have build a few Kougars. As you probably know, the Kobra, Kougar, and King Kobra are very similar but for size. The little Kobra offers the option of the T-38 or F-16 style tail. My first Kougar was built as designed with the T-38 style tail. However, my second Kougar was built with a swept, F-16 style tail roughly scaled up from a Kobra drawing. I like the swept tail too. To me, the plane flies about the same with either tail configuration. That is to say both fly fantastic!

mashp39 is correct. Kit building, thus feedback on that building, is pretty much a thing of the past. There are only a few of us dinosaurs who enjoy building left. I have always said that building is a hobby, flying a sport. I prefer the hobby to the sport. As for this thread, I used to have a King Kobra and it was a fantastic flying airplane. Alas, in a moment of stupidity, I traded it. At some point, if I live long enough, I will have some version of that plane again.

rudder
The first plane I built and flew was an S-Ray. It had no ailerons, just a rudder and elevator. My next plane was a Sweet Stik with ailerons. On my first flight I thought what a great thing with the ailerons. From then on very little rudder use.Just taxiing and take off. When I use rudder in flight or landing I usually get in trouble. This statement will get me in trouble with all the rudder users but it's true. This being said,I'll go for looks and change the rudder. If the plane gets to that point I'll post a picture.

I have built several Kougars and King Kobras. I have modified the tails twice, as pictured. I did it to try and make the planes look more like the next level of pattern planes...I'm not sure if differences were noticeable. The one pictured is electric powered and converted to a tail dragger with retracts.

It does look like it could be from a Cessna, but I took it from a Sig Kobra kit. I traced out the Kobra F-16 option and upscaled it till it matched the dimensions of the Kougar. I've always wondered why Sig did not include this option with the Kougar and King Kobra.
