Advice on Kit Prices
Have been clearing out my recently deceased father's loft, he was an avid collector of model air craft kits and has several kits that are quite old and quite rare and need some advice on possible prices to sell them for, we have uploaded photos of the kits, any advice would be gratefully received?

Go to "Buy & Sell" tab at the top of this page, then click on the RCU Book Pricing and see if any of them pop up (http://www.rcuniverse.com/product_gu...ubook-home.cfm) At least that is a starting point. Kits have taken a nose dive of late, but you do have some good ones there. Sorry to hear about your father....it looks like he loved model aviation.

Yes,, these smaller Pilot kits are really not in demand like the larger Royal kit might still be..
I'd search "completed listings" on ebay also
I'd expect you'd get at least $100 to $150 for the pilot kits and Royal zero and the other 25-30 size kits,, Posting them on Ebay probably your best bet
I'd need more info on the b-17
I'd ask $200 for the Goldberg Chipmunk,, that will sell fast
Good luck,, and Sorry for your loss

Out of all of those kits, the only one I have bought is the Goldberg chipmunk. I paid $40 for it at a swap meet. I have seen the kit listed for $200 - $300 and more online. Prices vary wildly.

Kits are worth what people are willing to pay. The best way to get a good price is to place them on an auction site. The marketplace will dictate actual value.

It really matters where you sell at. At my local club sale...kits and planes are worth almost nothing. Other sales around the state I have been to,kits and balsa wood sell pretty high. In my experience selling complete planes is where you take a real beating... I think there are places where complete planes sell for good prices..but it isn't here .
