Default Warped Fiberglass Cowl

I picked up a large kit a Zlin Z-526 and the cowl is concave on the sides as if it was pulled from the mold while still green. The cowl is kind of long and the sides are bowed in. Anyone have any success getting them back in shape????

Thanks
Dennis

Heat. Start out gently. It's probably polyester instead of epoxy, but it should soften enough so that you can reshape it. Be careful you don't scorch the paint. I've had success using a covering heat gun to reshape fiberglass parts.
