OK MY PROP ? again take 2
OK WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW TO MAKE YOUR PROP STOP HORIZONTAL AGAINST THE ENGINE COMPRESSION SO THAT IF YOUR AIRPLANE DOESN'T HAVE LANDING GEAR YOUR PROP WILL STOP HORIZONTAL SO THAT YOU WONT BREAK IT. I HAVE HEARD THIS REFERRED TO AS clocking your prop!

When you tighten the prop nut have the prop clocked (tips at 3 & 9 O'clock)
Sometimes its hard to hold the backing plate or hub, some have a hole for an allen wrench some are just smoothe. But do not stick anything in the exhaust port to hold the piston
Some times it takes a few quick twists of the prop-wrench to get it to start to snug up, then tighten.

When the prop stops, the airplane's forward momentum will cause the prop to "windmill" in the air untill the prop hit's compression. All you have to do is to loosent he propnut, and turn the prop on the prop-shaft untill the prop is horizontal when it gets to compression. Then tighten up again. Depending on your engine, prop-nut, this may take a few attempts.

Thank's Gus
I forgot the Compression part, guess it makes better since if it was included
I had written it once then deleted it while reading his other thread about this, But brain and keyboard weren't in sync this morning.
