Default rubber in the engine mount

I'm mounting the engine on my H9 Aresti. I was thinking of slipping a thin piece of rubber between the engine and the mount to try and cut down on vibration a little bit. Is there any reason why this would be a bad idea?

Default rubber in the engine mount

I tried that many years ago and it did not appear to work. I think that the bolts holding the engine being in direct contact to the engine and mount both carries the engine vibration to the airframe. I have had good luck by isolating the mount from the firewall using neopreme rubber on each side of firewall and a piece of fuel tubing for the bolts to go through. Must use washers and locking nuts not T-nuts. This isolates all direct contact through either the rubber or fuel tubing and works for me.
