Name that plane!!!
I friend of mine gave me this plane that was given to him and I would like to know what it is. I saw in a previous post that someone picked out a mystery plane and was curious to see if you all could do it again. As you can tell in the pictures one of the owners performed the very dificult full throttle propeller landing, but hey, after a little epoxy the bird still flies. Once I finish my trainer this will be my second plane. This plane is from South America and sometimes we get some really off-brands of models so this plane may not be a very popular plane. If you dont know what it is can anyone give me an idea of another similar 40 size plane that would fly the same so I have an idea of what to compare it to?

maybe it is very similar to the 4* 40 but looking at pics of the 4* there are some distinct differences between the two. I sure hope this plane is as good as a 4* 40 though

I don't see much difference. Low wing with dihedral, stringers on turtle deck i.e., check the wingspan, a 4 Star is about 58.75 if I recall.

RE: Name that plane!!!
that is clearly several planes that have been used to make one. The verticle fin is the giveaway. The top of the fin is not in line with the rest of the plane. The nose is from a tower trainer or similar. The wing looks to be from a trainer also and was made into a low wing plane. Im not sure about the rear part of the fuselage. The modifications should be obvious from the inside of the plane. Can you post a picture of the inside where the wing attaches?

Here are some closer pictures of the inside and tail fin. I know that the front was completly rebuilt from scratch (as you can see in the pics) but I am not sure what you mean by the tail not matching up with the rest of the plane. Looking at the plane to me it looks like only the nose is not original.
