To clearcoat or not to clearcoat
I want to apply some custom water-slide decals to my wing, but am dubious about their durability/"fuelproofness". Should I put a coat of lacquer or clear LustreKote on them or even a clear piece of covering material? I'd really rather not have to make the decals again.[:'(]

What are you applying them to? Painted or monokote finish?
If it's a painted finish, put a clear coat over them. Test seperately first. If it's a monokote finish, I've used a product from pactra called fuel proofer. It has worked very well on items like that. It's available from tower and anybody that handles pactra products. Be sure to test it on a seperate piece before applying it to your main subject. [&:]

Definitely test the fuelproofer on a scrap of un-used decal material.... there are many decal making processes, and the manufacturer could EEASILLY have used one that will "crinkle" when you apply the fuel proofer.
You can also try Clear LusterKote over the decals (again test....) Lusterkote is a spray paint made specificly for going over Monokote. (and for painting things like cowls to match your Monokoted aircraft.)

Thanks for your insight, guys. I'm going to try the product from Pactra, providing they sell it at a decent rate. It's going to be a while, though, so unfortunately I can't promise pics right away. Maybe by summertime.
