Are you very comptetent at doing this kind of work? If so, I would say go for it, but if you have to ask how to do it and don't work with wiring much, I would say, spend the money and buy one. It is cheaper to pay $20 for a cord than to have it cost you a couple hundred dollar plane.

In search on your toolbar type in [ meridianelectronics] then go to electronics for radio control. I think you'll find what you want.

That Gadgets site is GREAT! You can make all kinds of neat gizmos to use with models... save a bit of money vs buying some of th stuff, and put all of the assorted field charger & power panel items you want in ONE panel. [8D]

Well... If you are adventurous... find two male plugs that fit your trainer cord inputs.... find some stranded wire of an appropriate gauge (20-22?) and length and start soldering pin to pin making sure the wire is attached to the corresponding opposite pin. It is no more complex than that assuming you have a decent soldering iron appropiate for electronics and soldering skills. The hardest thing will be rounding up the appropriate plugs(was that Futaba) and wire. There are no waranties given or implied on any of this advice... use at your own risk and ground test WELL prior to flight. Good luck. I have made JR trainer cords... but those are real simple.

Yes, but apparently, you are more interested in throwing attitude instead. Sorry man, tired of dealing with attitudes. Hope you find what you are looking for.

rekka,
RCU is a great site, and folks here are usually happy to help, but YOU REALLY NEED TO LOSE THE ATTITUDE!! You're rude and obnoxious, and you'll soon find that most on this site won't tolerate it.

Tone things down a bit, try to play nice, or no one here will play with you at all. [&:]

Rekka, it isn't that I didn't read it, it is that I was telling you that sometimes it is better to buy one if you don't understand how to build one. I have read enough posts like your initial that I took it to mean you didn't know what you were doing. I knew you would get posts as to how to, I just wanted you to ask yourself if you trusted your work doing a cable enough to build one and then fly with it. Could cause more trouble than you know.

As I said, if you have someone that knows how to do it, by all means, get someone to tell you how and do it. I just don't like to see someone who knows nothing about soldering try to make one and end up shorting out the radio. I have seen that happen. Take it for what it is worth.

rekka,
Thanks for listening. Not sure what sites you're use to using (and I know some of them are brutal), but people here are friendly, helpful, and mostly polite. Just watch out for Basin Baum. (Just Kidding!! )

You'll get a LOT of great advice here, and answers to almost any question you can ask.

Welcome to RCU and good luck with learning to fly!
