Ready to paint Cowl for Sig Extra 300XS??
I am recovering My extra. Is an Unpainted cowl for the Sig Extra 300 available??? Or can I sand off the paint of a new one, and just prime it for new color?
Thanks in advance

Refinishing
Hi Coulter
If your just doing a color change like I did just wet sand the cowl with some 320 grit sandpaper but you do not want to srtip all the paint off the cowl the original paint is a great base for your color and at this point all your pin holes should be covered and you won't even have to use any primer.
Good Luck

Citation X a good filler for small pinholes is 3M Flowable Finishing putty it is a two part system just like body filler, but it sounds very easily and as long as you throw a little bit of primer over it to cover up the sanding scratches it will work perfect for what you want to do with it.
