Default cg, for a simitar

crash1:

If the jumbo version is still one piece wing; find a 8 ft long wall
and lay the wing on the floor with the leading edge wingtips
touching the wall. Go to the center of the wing and measure from
the wall to the trailing edge of wing at root. Take the length. say
it turned out to be 20", take 30% of that = 6". Now go to the mid
point of each wing half (that would be 21 1/2" along the wall from
each wing tip toward wing center) From that mid-point ,measure
away from the wall the 30% dim. into the wing. That point on the
wing would be the ~ cg point.
Oops, let's go back to square one where I forgot to tell you to
place the wing upside down on the floor so that the cg mark is
placed on the underside of the wing. I like to use the flat top thumb tacks as cg markers that I glue into the wings underside.
