compreion gauge,proper useage?

Default compreion gauge,proper useage?

hey guys anyone know how you are suppossed to use one? iv had one for a coupla years that i use to bench mark my motors,to see how they wear,but how are you suppossed to use it? i.e. when you check it do you turn it over by hand? or on a pullstart how many pulls? or starter box?

As long as you use the same cranking method on all motors doesn't matter much. Hand cranking is probably the most consistent. Wide open throttle, crank till the gauge won't go any higher.That's the way it used to work for me.
