In an issue (earlier this year?) of RCM magazine there was an article on how to build a flat building board using MDF material. Does anyone have the specifications as described in the article? The bottom of the building board was reinforced with MDG strips fastened to both ends of the board and down the center. I lost the measurements so if you can tell me the size of the materials, recommended screws, various details it would be much appreciated. A scanned article would be great but that might be a bit to much to expect.

EGB, just went to the RCM websiote, and you can look up [past issues. But coulnb't find your bench.. I dio, however, subscribe to RCM, and keep all my back issues. I will take a short search tonight for you.

as for a bench, I have designed a few, and can help you out with yours.

attached is one of my designs, and I can send you details of it as required..

vbasicvally an MDF top,. with 2x4 legs. Also featured are 'peg board shear webs' to limit the wobbling, and offer a place to store tools. There is also a lower shelf to store tehmany kits you intend to build!

Thanks dr_wogz. As far as I could remember it was around winter time either late last year or early this year when I saw the MDF building board article. It was short construction/build article that was maybe 1 page with 2 being the most.
