Default DECAL REMOVAL

Any suggestions on removing a large water slide decal which has been attached for years, and then removing the glue? THANKS

Default RE: DECAL REMOVAL

I like to heat it up a little with a heat gun on low. Then it will peel a lot easier. Most of the glue will be left behind. So I take some Top Flight trim solvent. Wet it down with a towel and let it set a minute or two. The trim solvent will turn the glue into a jelly like substance. Then I carfully scrape it off with the edge of my drivers license. A rag will work but soaks up the solvent and clogs up quickly. I have used blades to scrape the jelly off and they work better but scratch the covering a little.
