Default Koverall and no nitrate???

I am about finished with covering my 1/5 waco. I was told you don't need nitrate but butyrate dope is all you need. It works the same and better!. On the third coat ad some talcome to fill the wieve. I used stixit to fix the covering to the structure. It worked pretty good. Am I on the right track?

Butyrate is fine, although it tends to be a little more expensive than nitrate. That's why it is suggested to fill the weave with nitrate first, then color with butyrate. But, it is not necessary to do it that way. You shouldn't have any problems. Just remember, once you apply butyrate, you cannot apply nitrate over it. Also, many paints won't stick to butyrate, so it you will be best off just to stick with butyrate from here on out.

Other than that, sounds good to me.
