What do you guys think is the best Tach for the money? Ive never used one, so I would like one that is user friendly.

Thanks

Default RE: RPM tach

After trying numerous "highly advertised" tachs and being dissapointed I ended up getting a TNC tach 3 years ago. I should have saved all the money I spent on the others and just got the TNC up front. However, at $100.00 it might be a bit pricy for some for just a tach.

They are currently available at Skyborne Aviation as the original inventor had to give up the business due to health concerns.

Also, there is a lot of information in the archives here on this and other tachs if you want to do some searches.

TNC works for me -

I like my Hanger 9. Small, light and simple. The Glo Bee is larger and heavier, but the batteries are cheaper.

Ditto. The TNC provides the most reliable and consistent reading in all conditions, even in low light condition.

I have a hanger nine mini tach. It works ok but TNC is the best, acurate up to 10 rpms. IMO
