Default How to make LE extensions

I need to make LE extensions on a T28. This allows for a more smooth and tapered look from where the wing root meets the fuse. Basically the directions say to bend a piece of cardboard around the LE near the wing root and then mix some epoxy and Pica Fillit ( I assume I could use any balsa filler here) and pour the mixture into the hole. But the directions don't say how much of each to add. Anyone know of how much of each to combine? IS there a better way to make these things? I was thinking of buying some block balsa and just carving it down and making my own then glue them to the LE near the wing root. Any ideas? Thanks.

If this is the fillet you're talking about, I see no reason why it can't be made from balsa.

Just add a block for a leading edge, some sub ribs, and sheeting
