Smallest, lightest NiMh's
I'm looking for the smallest and lightest 4.8V 4-cell pack available anywhere for my Jeti Rex 4+ RX. Currently I'm using a 4-cell pack of 2/3AAA which weigh 30g. I need to cut this to about half the weight if possible.
I did track down four cells of 1/3 AAA, but they don't have solder tabs, so no way to solder them together?
Help!

what are you flying that you want to cut out so much weight, and if you want to that badly, buy some LIPO batteries, and get a longer flight too.

I'm flying a 29" Modela Itoh with C02 motor. It a super little model and weighs just 70g without radio gear. I need 2-Ch r/c because the last one I built disappeared over the horizon on its maiden free-flight!
I want to use my Jeti Rex 4 Rx and 2 micro servos. These come in at just 20g. My current NiMh pack (2/3AAA) weighs 30g all by itself, so I need to cut the weight of batteries by half.
I considered LiPos but the voltage is all wrong for the Rx (4.8-6.0V). I did procured four 1/3AAA cells weighing just 12g, but they don't have solder tabs. I believe its not OK to try and solder them directly?

www.cheapbatterypacks.com has 1/3 AAA. Don't know about the soldering tabs. They will build the pack for you though. Use thier custom pack builder. I have had good luck with them, I have probably made about 15 orders with them.
I just noticed you are in the UK. I am not sure what their shipping policy is.
