SIG Something Extra kit vs ARf
Which is the better to buy ?
I know the kit has the removable wing panels, does the arf also have this ?
What is the extra stuff you have to buy with the kit and what would be the approximate cost of the extra stuff ?

RE: SIG Something Extra kit vs ARf
Yes the arf has the removable wing panels. I think the cost is about the same when you have to buy everything for the kit as opposed to the ARF. The difference is in the experience you get in building it. With the kit you know how it goes together so in the event of a crash it's easier to put it back together. Also buliding the kit lets you change out some of the hardware easier, like the tail wheel. It also lets you expand the surfaces if you want to, which I've heard expanding the elevator helps it. The SE kit is very easy to build you shouldn't have a problem.

For me it was the color mostly. I didn't want the standard purple or red...and as indicated, building does give you a good chance to learn your building techniques. This is handy when you need to make repairs.

Don't let the time to build scare you off. The length was of my doing, not the difficulty of the kit. There were times it hung up for a month or two before I got back to it. It's a pretty easy build, and the instruction manual is very detailed.
