Default Baked on oil

Had a leak in my exhaust manifold and now my muffler has a nice brown/varnish color from the baked on oil. Any ideas how to get it off?

Thanks

soak it all night in antifreeze in an old crock pot on low temp and is NEVER to be used for food again.
