Default Small servos..... 40 +/- oz in of torque

Just curious what servos are out there. Looking for some LIGHT WEIGHT but fairly strong servos.... Would like to be near 40 oz in of torque on 4.8v.

Please list the ones you know of and where to get them.

I know of the HITEC 81, 85 and 225 or the digital 5245... these meet or exceed my needs.....

Thanks,

Check out all the "mini" servos that can be easily looked at in the Tower cataloge or site. For example, Futaba, Hobbico, etc. minis. They are all small and powerful compared to the size and weight of standards.

Check out the "Blue Bird" servos at Balsa Products.

http://www.balsapr.com/

The Blue Bird BMS 380MG is a metal gear servo that produces 50 oz torque @4.8 volts and is about 2/3 the size of a HiTec 85 and reasonable in price. I use these servos in my high performance electrics all the time. They work great and I have not had any problems.

Hope this helps.

Another one to check out is GWS servos at Balsa Products. Another thing to watch out for is, servo speed, Some have lots of torque at the sacrifice of speed.
