Default Interior Paint

I was just wondering what you all use to paint the interior of your models?

I am finishing up a DynaFlite Decathlon and I need to paint the interior. Since I am in Korea I called Tower Hobbies to order a can of cream LustreKote but they wouldn't let me order it. They said it's because they can only use USPS since I have an APO address and USPS won't ship paint.

So now I am looking for other options. I think I can get bottles of tamiya model paint and I believe I saw some poster paint somewhere downtown. I just don't know if either would be a good choice because the fuel tank is up under the instrument panel.

Thanks,
-Bob George

Bob,
I've been using exterior latex house paint with great results
on my glow powered aircraft. You may want to consider
trying it

Default Question

Wow,

Thanks for the reply Roby. I had been thinking of latex house paint. I've read it works good with gas, but I've never heard of using it with glow fuel.

Do you use interior or exterior paint? Flat or semi gloss--does it matter?

Thanks again,
-Bob George

Since it is all inside, just coat it with a slow epoxy and gently heat it with a heat gun. This will make it flow out and seal all the area very well.

I have been using "exterior" with a clear coat of
latex high gloss polyurethane on the outside and
inside , which of course includes the firewall.

I've been flying my 4 star -120 all summer nd it still
looks as good as the day I put it on.

I found that the key is to let the stuff dry 2 full days
before handling or adding other colors.
