Default Saito 4-stroke disassembly

I have an older (old?) Saito FA30 with the exposed rocker arms. Anyways, my question is how do I remove the exhaust header from the cylinder head. I already removed the retaining screw but the header pipe is still in the head. Used some gentle force to pull it out and nothing. Thinking that maybe it unscrews I tried unscrewing it...after a couple of revolutions I see no progress.....HELP! Are these pipes threaded into the head or are they just held in by the pinch bolt? I downloaded the Saito manual from Horizon website but it covers the newer engines with enclosed rocker arms...Anyhow, I don't want to try brute force until I know exactly how it comes apart first.
