Default TRANSPORT aircraft via RC network of travelers - Discuss idea!

We as modelers are faced with a transportation issue when selling, buying, trading larger aircraft. The boxing, crating, shipping costs can be very prohibitive to a successful transaction. What are your thoughts about a CLEARING HOUSE of RC modelers that are traveling to different parts of the country and could transport an aircraft for a small fee? I just finished a transaction that "leap-frogged" a large model from Salt Lake City, UT to Saint George, UT via one person, then from Saint George to Mesa, AZ by another person, then finally from Mesa, AZ to Southern California. It was quite a process to arrange the logistics of this transfer BUT it was completed. There should be an easier way to coordinate this process. Thanks for your ideas and comments. Richard

Sounds like you just came up with a new idea for the e-bay-ing types..

You could call it M-Ship or Member Shipping
Not only would a give a person a reason to travel you could meet new people and see new places- And do it all with the added purpose of delivering a package. Registered deliverers would be people on holiday or retired travelers or whatever..

Sounds fun I would do it.....
