Default Receiver Installation

I have always been told to run my aerial out the side of the fuse to the rudder the to the ele or let it blow behind.
As in the pic with 3 red dots.
I want to know if it would be ok to run it straight out the top to the rudder as in the pic with 2 red dots.
Thanks J

Default RE: Receiver Installation

Hi!
I did that too when I started 30 years ago...but never today!
I always run my RX antenna inside the fuselage...never had a problem!
JR user since 1980.

Regards!

To answer your question, it is perfectly OK to run your antenna out the top of the fuse behind the canopy and attach the trailing end to the top of the rudder. Just make sure you have something to relieve the tension on on it in case you trip over it or snag it on something.
