What is Balsarite, Luster Coat and Trim Solvent?
Folks, I have a few planes that the edges of the covering tends to come loose and no matter how much heat from the iron I put on them the eventually peel back. I have heard of Balsarite, Luster Coat and Trim Solvent but have no idea what they do so I have a few questions.
What are they?
Is there a benefit to any of them?
Is it more of application depended?
Who makes this stuff?
Thanks for all the help, Hosam

Balsarite is a clear liquid that you paint on balsa to make Monokote stick better.
LustreKote is the trade name for Monokote flavored paint in spray cans. Used for cowls, wheel pants, etc.
Trim solvent is so you can stick regular Monokote on top of Monokote for trim purposed instead of ironing it down. Ironing can cause bobbles under the covering.
